The University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning will be hosting a virtual award ceremony for the School of Industrial Design's senior capstone showcase. The Southern Ohio Chapter will address the attendees and hand out the juror's choices for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place projects as well as Design Superlative Awards.
As first announced to our academic community on March 26 (via our Educator Update email), we are pleased to provide a virtual platform for graduating 2020 senior industrial design students to increase visibility of their work and assist in their transition to the professional design community. The IDSA Industrial Design Senior Show will be completely free and open to any graduating industrial design senior.
Not long after the global COVID-19 pandemic took hold in the United States, members of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) began laser-cutting and 3D-printing face masks for healthcare workers, due to a nationwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
During this uneasy time of living with and working through the global COVID-19 pandemic, leveraging our connections and unique skills as industrial designers to help others has become all the more important.
