Lextant—led by Founder and President Christopher J. Rockwell, IDSA—is moving full steam ahead with its declaration of “Get to Next.”

The 14-year-old firm—which focuses on what consumers want from products and how consumers interact with products—has a new home on the Columbus, OH skyline. With a growing team and state-of-the-art experience research lab, Lextant has moved to 250 South High St.

And in the next five years, the firm hopes to double its business and pledges to add 40 jobs to its new, 13,000 sq. ft. headquarters. It now has 55 employees. Lextant’s clients span the fields technology, financial, transportation, retail. medical, education, public sector and more. They include Fiat Chrysler, Whirlpool, Kraft, HP, Microsoft, Dell, Samsung, Sprint, Goodyear, American Eagle Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret, Sports Authority, Lowe’s, Johnson & Johnson, McGraw-Hill, GE & GE Healthcare.

Earlier in 2015, Lextant hired IDSA Member Mackenzie King as director of design research. And just before the 2015 IDSA Central District Design Conference in Columbus, the firm hosted a pre-conference workshop at its then-4th St. headquarters led by Lextant Vice President of Design Research Marty Gage, IDSA. “Insight Translation: Unleashing the Strategic Power of Design,” was followed by an interactive, team-based session entitled “Identifying the Components of Experience.”
