Fred Shockey, IDSA, is CEO and chair of Winsell Incorporated, which has announced the launch of its 2018 Rotational Molding Product Design Competition. Students across the country are being asked “to create breakthrough consumer products that utilize the latest technologies in rotational molding.” This year's theme is Outdoor Living Activities.
"The goal of this annual contest is to inspire emerging industrial design students’ talent," says Shockey. Enries will be judged on originality, process-ability, growth potential, beauty and visual appeal, tool building compatibility and use of appropriate Winsell granite.
The first place winner will receive $500; second place, $250; and a total of 10 honorable mentions each will receive $150. The entry deadline is May 14, 2018. There is no entry fee. See the 2017 winners.
