As the premier association dedicated to the study and practice of industrial design, the Industrial Designers Soceity of America (IDSA) fosters the organization of members into communities defined by location, or professional or special interest. In North America, including the United States, Canada and Mexico, IDSA supports Professional Chapters and Student Chapters. Outside North America, professionals may be organized into International Hubs.
Industrial design disciplines, such as medical or houseware design, and interests, such as design history or young professional development, often constitute the basis of Special Interest Sections.
IDSA members are encouraged to connect, share, learn and grow their respective ranks to ensure that all industrial designers have a voice and help advance the profession.
