Lydia Swedberg is currently an Industrial Designer at LIXIL in NYC, designing solutions for kitchen and bathroom products aimed at enhancing water enjoyment.

Swedberg graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a BFA in Industrial Design and a minor in Anthropology. During her undergraduate career, Swedberg served as both Secretary and President of the Purdue IDSA student chapter for three years, working to create meaningful collaborations between professionals and students. In 2018, Swedberg was awarded the IDSA Student Merit Award for the Midwest District.

Following graduation, Swedberg spent three years in Düsseldorf, Germany working between Industrial Design and UX/UI as a hybrid designer for the award-winning GROHE Design Team – part of LIXIL EMENA.

Swedberg is interested in the relationship between design and social sciences, such as Anthropology and Psychology. In her own work, Swedberg seeks to utilize human-centered design to positively influence people and drive social innovation while responding to culture, environment, and challenges within society.
