Isaac Alves is an industrial designer based in the Boston area. He currently works as a Senior Footwear Designer at BBC International, with a focus on brand strategy, product design and development, and sourcing for brands including Reebok, Ralph Lauren, KSWISS, and others.
Previously, Isaac worked as a footwear design apprentice at Reebok, learning and aiding the cleated footwear design team with research, design, and development. He also has design experience at Hasbro, GTECH, and Ximedica.
Isaac studied industrial design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and has mentored students, given design skill-building demos and lectures, and has spoken at RIT’s student-run conference, Thought @ Work, since graduating in 2011.
Despite a day job focused on footwear design, Isaac pursues passion projects in vastly different fields, including photography, craft beer, and NASCAR racing. His latest project, Design To Drink focuses on design discussions and interviews with creative minds in the adult beverage industry.
