Project Portfolio

  • Lyss

Elegant and unconventional yet functional and accessible, the Lyss chair combines organic materials with smart silhouettes, resulting in a chair that is as unique as it is beautiful. This chair was thoughtfully designed for Allseating to facilitate intimate conversations and meaningful connections between users. Furthered by each of its carefully considered components, the chair makes for the perfect seating selection in boardrooms, lobbies, lounges, libraries and ideation spaces.

  • Zinc

Zinc is a comprehensive line of timeless chairs for Allseating featuring elegant single-piece shells available in 14 colors that can be fully upholstered. The chairs offer multiple base options: four straight legs, a stackable sled base with a hidden integrated ganging device, or a wooden four-pod base of solid oak. Zinc also comes in a stool version with a lower back and two seat heights. Optional arms can be enhanced with shell arm pads, connecting to the distinctive cufflink detail on its front.

  • MAST

MAST is a family of flat-screen-monitor support arms and accessories designed for Teknion to support today’s technology while anticipating future requirements and evolutions. It is built around stanchions that are extremely strong and can accommodate up to four monitors on a single-height post and up to eight monitors by combining dual-height posts side by side. The product group comprises a manual adjustment arm and dynamic arm version. A clipboard allows iPads to be snapped in, and wiring is managed discreetly through aluminum extrusion cable way.

  • Marketplace

The Marketplace worktable for Teknion minimizes barriers to the moment-by-moment interactions within today’s team-based office. An aluminum industrial truss enables a free, unsupported span of up to 20 feet and accommodates 60-inch-wide work desks. It can be quickly assembled and offers privacy options, storage and generous wire-management capabilities, making it ideal for technologically intense applications. Appropriate in concept, scale and aesthetics, Marketplace’s iconic design echoes the rigorous functional elegance of modern office architecture.

  • Micra-Ambulance

Magnusson developed a concept for a four-and-a-half-wide ambulance designed to slip through traffic to save lives in emergency response situations in which conventional vehicles cannot pass and helicopters cannot land. The Micra-Ambulance utilizes electric motors and computer-generated gyro techniques for balance when leaning on corners. Instrument panels are replaced by iPads for both the driver and EMS in the rear compartment.

  • Conflux

The line of Conflux LED lamps for Teknion brings clarity to desks, floors, and shelves in a minimal yet technically sophisticated way. Conflux sets records in performance with just nine watts to achieve 100 lux. It offers a 50,000-hour life span, creates no cross shadows, and is the first LED lamp to use passive infrared technology to turn the light on or off depending upon a person’s presence as detected by body heat.
