Urban density is expected to rise in the future and new approaches to design should be considered when developing solutions to the many challenges that will accompany this growth. Public infrastructures that are already struggling to meet the growing demand for transportation and basic mobility services will be especially challenged. This presentation focuses on an interdisciplinary studio that explored and discovered solutions to these future challenges and discusses methods to successful collaborative interaction. Additionally, Systems Thinking and Integration will be elaborated upon as it was introduced into the design process as new strategic approaches to developing successful design solutions. Three final projects that were developed within this studio will be presented as case studies do demonstrate the significance of applying reliable collaborative interactions, systems integration, and systems thinking mythologies.
