Chris Livaudais, IDSA, is a designer and creative leader based in San Francisco, CA. Equal parts big picture, strategic thinker and detail focused, design doer—Livaudais holds a unique ability to guide teams through challenges and enable them to do their best work. During his career as a designer and creative director, he has partnered with brands including BASF, Bridgestone Tire, Coca-Cola, Embraer and Tempur-Pedic for the development and implementation of projects spanning objects, environments, services and digital interactions.
As executive director of IDSA, Livaudais is focusing on bettering how the organization supports and interacts with the design community. “I believe IDSA has a tremendous future ahead—led by the values and connections of our members. This platform will allow me to direct my energy on working with design leaders across the country to ensure they have the tools and support needed to enrich their local design communities through events, outreach and advocacy.”
Livaudais is a 15+ year veteran member of IDSA and has held a variety of leadership roles at both the local and national level. “My history with IDSA provides me with great insight into how the Society may best position itself to remain relevant to new generations of designers while retaining and leveraging the knowledge of our experienced members,” he explains. “I look forward to collaborating with national and local teams to provide unparalleled opportunity for professional development and community engagement.”
