Pushing the limits of existing technology and innovation, the Burton Ion Snowboard Boot uses radio frequency welding to directly mold an elastomeric structure to the textile upper of the boot. This minimizes the traditional method of stitching overlapping layers of material to create structural support. This process eliminates pressure "hot spots," making the boot more comfortable, especially for those who wear the boot all day.
