Women in Design Deep Dive 2022

This is a gathering built to recognize the unique talents, initiatives, challenges, and successes of women in the industrial design industry.

Have you missed being able to network in person? Eager to bump elbows with your peers and new connections over coffee? We are thrilled to return to a live, in-person setting for this event! Join us at The Vue in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1, 2022 to celebrate inspiring leaders who are forging their own paths and energizing future generations to follow in their footsteps.

Now in its 6th consecutive year, IDSA's Women in Design Deep Dive is a safe and welcoming space for critical conversations about the design industry and to showcase the very best female-identified and non-binary designers making a mark today. IDSA's long-standing commitment to Women in Design goes back many years and focuses on supporting this community by fostering a heightened level of opportunity and connection for women-identifying industrial designers.

If you can't make the trip to Columbus, don't worry! We have a virtual ticket option available for you to attend from wherever you are and be present for all the mainstage presentations on both days of the event.

Miranda Degg is a Wisconsin-based designer currently contributing to the Delve/Bresslergroup design efforts. Her experience spans from exhibitions to apparel to medical design. Her goal as a designer is to challenge and question traditionally held beliefs about what design means to companies and to people. Advocating for life-centered design, as opposed to just human-centered, she hopes to inspire her teammates to push beyond the human element and consider all aspects of the impact products have on people, society, and the planet. Additionally, she collaborates with Advanced Design’s education initiative Offsite, as well as Chicago’s Women in Industrial Design group.

Caterina Rizzoni, IDSA, is a practicing industrial designer living in Cincinnati, OH. She designs medical devices and soft goods as a Lead Designer at Kaleidoscope Innovation, an Infosys Company, where she designs intuitive and innovative solutions centering usability for clients in the med-tech space. She also is the At-Large Director (Conferences) on IDSA’s Board of Directors. She has served as Chair of the IDSA Cincinnati chapter, Vice Chair of the IDSA Columbus chapter, and VP of the IDSA Student Chapter at The Ohio State State University.
