As the name suggests, IDSA’s NEXT Medical Design Deep Dive takes an in-depth look at the current landscape of the medical design industry. We seek to specifically explore how the role of design and the industrial designer is evolving to keep pace with the rapid changes in healthcare. What matters most and what do designers need to know in order to meet these new exciting challenges?

What we ARE looking for:
We are interested in submissions for talks and interactive sessions that elicit thought and offer a unique exploration of our medical design focus area. Your session should provide real-world tools and methodologies our audience can incorporate into their own practice. Your contribution to this assembly should be memorable and distinct to this event. We are searching for the very best in our uncompromising quest to gather a slate of presentations that represent the very forefront of medical design today and open the door to what we can expect in the future.

NEXT Medical Design Deep Dive will take place at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The success of NEXT will rely on your professionalism, expertise and individual flare. We’ll do our part to help you succeed so that we all walk away with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Design professionals from a wide spectrum of different but related disciplines including: Industrial Design, User Experience, User Interaction, Design Management, Human Factors and Ergonomics, Service Design, Experience Design, and more. Medical practitioners seeking to learn from you are also among the audience.
