Call for Speakers - 2022 Events

Hello design community! This is your opportunity to participate in an upcoming IDSA event. We seek submissions for talks and interactive workshops that stimulate deep thought and offer a unique exploration of the industrial design landscape. Your presentation should provide real-world inspiration, tools, and methodologies our audience can incorporate into their own practice. Your contribution to the program should be memorable and distinct to the event. We are searching for the very best presentations that represent the forefront of design today and open the door to what we can expect in the future. Sustainable Leadership Deep Dive
May 18-19, 2022

This is an opportunity for professionals to increase their knowledge at the intersection of earth-saving design practices and the value-driven role design plays in strategic decision-making and successful business outcomes.

Design has long proven itself as a vital component of corporate culture, service offerings, bottom line growth, and exceptional customer experiences. The once separate languages of design and business continue to converge; and it is vital that we, as designers, understand how to enable a dialogue that helps our business counterparts drive bottom line value while also delivering meaningful, human-centered solutions to the marketplace without sacrifice.

ID Technique Deep Dive
November 2-3, 2022

This is an event built for industrial designers to upskill and explore the fascinating stages of the I.D. process where ideas come to life through drawings, renderings, and modeling.

Making the intangible reality is at the core of what industrial designers do every day. The act of capturing our insights and innovations lies in our ability to transform intangible thoughts into concrete concepts that users and stakeholders can respond to. Whether through whiteboard sketches, photo-realistic renders, or interactive VR environments, industrial designers play a pivotal role in communicating the big ideas that help people understand and envision a product that does not yet exist.

Education Symposium
September 13-14, 2022

We say good-bye to just listening and hello to reconnecting with one another face-to-face. We aim to reintroduce students, faculty, professionals, and industry to the playful spirit of design, by disrupting our mundane (virtual) routines with fun, inspiring and engaging physical and mental activities. We seek to re-establish genuine friendships and re-energize. We’ll explore the academic landscape across three spectrums: (RE)PLAY, (RE)FUEL, (RE)FRAME
