1989	Budd Stienhilber initiates eco committee
1990	"Made on Earth, Environmental Integrity and Economic Viability" in Innovation, - editor JP Kusz.
1993	"One World - One Future" and "Made on Earth II, The New Reality", Innovation (IDSA Journal), Editor, J.P. Kusz. ICSID Conference sponsored by US EPA and the National Endowment for the Arts.
1994	Key Note speakers Hawkens and Makower rock the national conference
1995	New IDEA criteria instituted - 'Green Perspectives' published, editor W. Brawer.
1996	Eco Committee becomes Environmental Responsibility Section
1999	"IDSA Business Ecodesign Tools" published in Innovation, chief editor P. White.
2000	Section web page launched
2001	Conny Bakker keynotes national conference
2001	'Ecodesign Principles and Practices' adopted by the IDSA executive committee.
2002	Ted Smith, Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition and Mark Newton, Apple Computer speak at national conference
2003	"Ecodesign Section" name adopted
2003	IDSA/EPA Partnership established, supports Okala Ecological Design curriculum development
2004	Tim Cooper, UK Product Consumption Researcher, and John Burkitt, HP, speak at the national conference.
2005	IDSA/EPA Partnership supports new Ecodesign category in IDEA
2006	Professional Okala workshop given by Steve Belletire and Philip White
2007	Han Brezet, Fumi Masuda and Ezio Manzini present on sustainable consumption. Okala Guide 2007 published.
