1982 Jay Doblin,
FIDSA (1920-1989)
At its annual conference on Orlando, Florida, IDSA honored Mr. Doblin
for his three decades of contributions to the profession. He directed
the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology starting
in 1955, was president of ASID in 1956, and president of the Industrial
Design Educators Association (IDEA) in 1962. In 1972 he founded Jay Doblin
