IDSA NED VP & Producer - angela@yehideology.com

Angela has an eye for potential opportunities. She founded Yeh IDeology with a personal vision of strategic recruitment to support the design industry. Yeh IDeology is committed to developing a deep understanding of both clients and candidates as unique individuals with particular strengths and talents and they are as thoughtful about their placements as a matchmaker would be.

Before building Yeh IDeology, Angela had ten years of experience recruiting in design and five years prior as an industrial designer to design director. She went to Pratt Institute for her Masters in ID and University of Bridgeport for her Bachlors in Psychology & Sculpture.  Angela is currently the IDSA Northeast District Vice President, has also been a member of IDSA for more than 10 years and has been an active member for the last 5.

When she's not filling her days with recruiting & IDSA you'll find her surfing, rock climbing or working on her pottery. Always looking to try something new, she's picking up beach volleyball and learning how to whistle for the first time. By the way if anyone want to go rock climbing in AZ after the IDSA national conference in September, give her a holler.

Producer - lauren@yehideology.com

Lauren Serota is relentlessly enthusiastic.

Prior to attending the Savannah College of Art and Design for Industrial and Interaction Design, Lauren spent her formative years in Public Relations and Promotions for the electronic music industry. While in school, she had her hand in everything, from DJing at a rock and roll bar and the roller derby to screen-printing. Her professional experiences range from her aforementioned gig in PR to an Interaction & Visual Designer, Softgoods Designer, Trend Researcher and Industrial Design Recruiter. She is actively involved in the IDSA, and spends most of her time making friends with movers and shakers and getting stuff done – f’real.

Lauren is currently planted in Columbus, Ohio, where she works in many ways with lextant, a design research and insights consultancy – mostly as a Design Researcher. She also maintains a solid relationship with Yeh IDeology, a design recruitment firm based out of New York City.

Speaker Coordinator - aaron.penn@gmail.com

Hailing from the great state of Michigan, Aaron Penn is a true son of the inland seas.  But the sirens of the Sweetwater have not dissuaded him from an eastward journey into more designerly pursuits - He is currently the resident Technologist for a structural packaging and product design consultancy in Connecticut, where he has worked with some of the worlds’ leading consumer brands.

Aaron’s unnatural obsession with information, both relevant and random, has given him a perspective of design facilitator.  His daily trolling for emergent materials and processes is as much an indulgence as it is a task.

Aaron has a BA in History from the University of Michigan and earned a degree in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Scheduling Coordinator - gamalprather@gmail.com

Gamal is a self-professed pop culture enigma,  mostly. He holds a Master's in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Florida A&M University. Currently, Gamal rocks out at Marchon Eyewear in Manhattan designing eyeglasses and sunglasses for Nike, Sean John, Michael Kors, Nautica, and Coach.  Despite his affinity for sketching and working in 3d, Gamal plans to apply his no-nonsense approach to design to less traditional design problems. Public schools are a mess. Policymakers seem like they might need a hand. And that fellow chillin' at the Utica A train stop in Brooklyn still needs a j-o-b and a place to call home. Yep, one day Gamal will stop making `stuff' and figure out how to make a difference. The end.

As a design mercenary and creative muse, Brian's experiences have spread him from the design of Tylenol pill concepts, to museum exhibits and colors of the spectrum between.  Educated at the University of Michigan, but trained by the school of hard knocks, he is a literal chameleon within design. When released into the wild, Brian typically finds shelter in the shadows created by the amassing towers of design and culinary readings on his desk.

Philly Strip Coordinator & PR - dwysign@gmail.com

Nate is primarily interested in poking, proding, examining and finally, surprising people. He graduated from Pratt Institute in 2007 with a major in Industrial Design and a minor in not being wrapped up in the hipster scene (art history). This vantage point allows him to carefully study his environment and discover over-looked areas of social problem solving. Beyond people watching, Nate enjoys farm restoration, dancing, riding his dad’s ‘77 Raleigh bicycle, and delivering keynote presentations. Currently Nate is working as a project manager and designer at a toy manufacturer on Long Island. Nate is a man of the people, and wants to dance with you.
