Chris is Design Director at KeepHuman an industrial design and product development studio based in Utah. From 1995 to 2003 Chris worked with Fortune 500 companies and startups to create product interface design and user experience solutions. During that period he led user experience design initiatives for Apple, Pixar, Harcourt Brace, JCPenney, Motorola, Agilent, Verizon, Province of BC, and Baxter Healthcare. In 2006 he founded Rusay Design to focus on product development and industrial design for lifestyle, health, digital experiences, furniture, and the workplace. Rusay's work has received the GOOD DESIGN Award, Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for new product design, a SPARK Award finalist, and a SLAS New Product Award.
In 2014 Chris launched design studio KeepHuman. Through studio work he has partnered with LEGO, Volvo Trucks, Honda Racing, Maglite, Amada Miyachi, Kinemetrics, Metrozet, Malibu Kayaks, Genefluidics, and Motorola Solutions. Chris has served on the GOOD DESIGN awards jury and has taught graduate industrial design courses at Art Center College of Design and is an active educator, and mentor on design topics. During 2015-16 Chris was a full-time Visiting Asst. Professor in the Design program at University of Utah. Chris Rusay earned his MSc ID, Industrial Design, from Art Center College of Design, and a BA from Brown University.
