A practicing designer for over twenty years, Douglas Carpiaux has developed hands-on experience in nearly every phase of the design process. His research and design work crosses a wide range of product categories, including medical equipment, industrial automation, musical equipment, and personal care for clients including Foodsaver, Audio-Technica, Merz Aesthetics, Manitowoc Ice, Yahoo!, and Rockwell Automation. A common thread through these interactions is the effort Douglas and his teammates have taken to enhance aesthetics and functionality in an integrated manner through the tools of research, design, CAD, project management, and thorough communication.
Douglas received his BFA in Industrial Design and minor in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Believing that support of the local design education community is important, Douglas regularly interacts with students at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), Marquette University, and Muskego High School’s Technology, Engineering & Design Department.
