Lou Lenzi, FIDSA
Recently retired from GE Appliances as Design Director, Lou is President of Lou Lenzi Design LLC, a consultancy specializing in design strategy, product development and innovation. Lou is also a Professor of Practice at Indiana University's School of Informatics and Computing in the Department of Human Centered Computing.
While at GE Appliances, he was responsible for all industrial design, user interface design, and user experience design activities for GE's $7B major appliances business.
Prior to joining GE Appliances, Lou held senior design leadership positions with IBM, RCA, Thomson, Audiovox, and GE Healthcare. His broad management experience includes senior leadership positions in global product management and engineering, advanced product development, service design, and new business development.
Lou is widely respected as an industry leader, having received numerous professional and industry design awards, serving as IDSA IDEA Chair, and profiled by Fortune magazine. Recognized as one of the top 50 designers over the last 50 years by the IDSA, he has lectured on product design and innovation at a wide variety of trade, professional, industry, and academic institutions.
