Derrick has worked with industry leaders such as Bombardier Aerospace, Goodrich Aerostructures (UTC Aerospace Systems), B.F Goodrich Aerospace, Ford Motor Company and Safran Group Landing and Braking Systems, (Messier-Dowty), as well as numerous Airbus Aircraft Development programs. Additionally, previously held United States DOD approval to work on U.S. Military Aircraft Landing Gear, ITAR, while working in the United States.

Derrick earned a Master of Science in Management & Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY), a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Technology from Bemidji State University (MN) and an Advanced Diploma (Degree) in Mechanical Engineering Technology-Design-Mechanical & Industrial from George Brown College.
