Abhimanyu Nohwar is the founder and director of Kiba Design, and is a Product Designer (batch of 1997) from the National Institute of Design (NID).
Kiba Design is a strategic design consultancy specialising in UX/Digital and Product Design. With a focus on strategic design thinking, Kiba drives strategy-led design innovation in varied sectors like consumer goods, heavy industry, retail and exhibitions, education, culture, media and technology.
Abhimanyu has been an Innovation Expert consultant to the Government of India since 2012 when he spent 6 months at the National Innovation Council writing a proposal on new institutional structures for the future of Design Education for India – which has since been included in the 12th Five Year Plan for the country – a rare honour for an Indian designer. He has advised and partnered with numerous international and Indian organisations on Design-led innovation, like X-Prize Foundation, Tribeca Film Institute, Mozilla, numerous corporates and NGOs, and advised start-ups across the world.
Abhimanyu is an active design educationist, having taught at the School of Planning and Architecture, IILM School of Design, Adianta School of Innovation, and having sat on jury panels at these schools, and Pearl Academy. His proposal for the creation of an Open Design School and a National Design Innovation Network for India is with the Ministry of Human Resource Development for implementation.
Abhimanyu has spoken at numerous national and international conferences on various aspects of design and is a passionate advocate of Design Thinking and the Human Centered Design process; he leads his company Kiba Design into projects that have a transformative impact on business, society and environment, through a focus on creating the future of human experience.
