After finishing his studies Industrial Product Design Wouter started in 1996 his career in the UK by Dyson. At Dyson Wouter worked, within a team, on the DC03 a bagless vacuum cleaner and on a double drum washing machine. The Dyson development process is based on making models and doing tests. At Dyson Wouter learned that pragmatic ‘Trial and error’ helps generating important insights who add to solving problems.
Back in the Netherlands Wouter lead, at Philips DAP in Drachten, a team of engineers who developed a new shaver for the lowest price segment. In 2000 Wouter moved to one of the biggest Dutch design agencies. Within this company Wouter was a senior design engineer responsible for projects for (amongst others) ASML, Heineken, Brabantia, Thetford, Hamax en FEI.
In 2003 Wouter started Konings Design. After 7 years Wouter joined forces with Rogier Kappelhoff and started Konings & Kappelhoff design agency in 2010.
