Every moment is more joyful with music.
I've had a creative affair with music since childhood – Mel Bay guitar chord books, programming an 80s sythesizer, and overdubbing my musical sketches to cassette. I studied computer science in college. It turns out the two disciplines touch, and I get to work there, creating joyful, musical moments enabled by technology.
I started my career as an audio/studio engineer. I became a video producer, and that path led me to design for the burgeoning Information Superhighway right before the pop.
I spent 5 years building the digital arm of the brilliant brand agency, Grady Britton in Portland, then joined the passionate interaction design startup Visere (now Awake.us). We were acquired and moved to San Francisco by Jawbone in 2012.
I became the Creative Director for audio (Jambox) at Jawbone, and in 2014 I took SONOS up on the opportunity to design for the future of listening to music on the picturesque beaches of Santa Barbara, CA.
