Co-founder and VP of Design
Ti Chang, IDSA, is an industrial designer/entrepreneur passionate about designing products for women. She is the co-founder and VP of design of CRAVE, a San Francisco-based company specializing in discreet and luxury sex toys.
Chang leads the concept and design for the company’s full line of products which has won numerous awards from competitions including IDSA’s International Design Excellence Awards IDEA), Red Dot and Good Design. She is best known for the design of IDEA winner Vesper, a vibrator necklace, one of the most celebrated and innovative sex toys disrupting the adult toy industry and changing the conversation around sex.
She currently serves as vice chair of IDSA’s Women in Design Special Interest Section, chair of IDSA’s San Francisco Chapter and a juror for IDEA 2017.
Chang received her MA from Royal College of Art and BS in industrial design from Georgia Tech.
Disrupting Adult Toys with the Female Perspective
The adult toy industry is a great example of an industry marketed towards women but not actually designed for women. How can we look at products from a different way and champion inclusion of female perspectives in the design process—not just as target customers.
