TEAMS Designs Wins 4 Good Design Awards

The Good Design Awards honors TEAMS Designs with four awards in the tools, household producsts and medical producsts cagtegories.

Tools: Bosch Combination Plunge and Fixed-Base Router
As the first router combo kit on the market with trigger-controlled power switches in the base handles, the router provides better stability and control. The big innovation on the plunge base is Afterlock Microfine Depth Adjustment, a feature that allows easy and precise adjustment at any plunge setting.


Household Products: Edgeware Mandoline Elite
Designers reconfigured the mandoline's mechanics to allow for two major changes. First, the thickness can be smoothly adjusted to any size between paper-thin and 9.5 mm — a cook will never find one setting too small but the next too big. Second, both the in-feed deck and the out-feed deck pivot on an opposing axis when thickness is adjusted. The two decks always remain perfectly parallel, allowing for a better application of force while cutting.


Household Products: Mr. Coffee Optimal Brew Thermal Coffeemaker
This continues a winning streak for the Optimal Brew, which has already been honored with the 2011 Excellence in Design Award and the 2010 Red Star Design Award for its functional breakthroughs in quickly brewing coffee at a more accurate temperature. The internal engineering of the coffeemaker was reworked to brew a faster, hotter  and more flavorful cup of coffee.
 

Medical Products: Safepole IV Pole
The IV pole had remained relatively unchanged for about a century. To better serve ambulatory patients’ needs, the Safepole offers an anti-tip base and features that make it easier to walk with the IV pole: covered wheels, an innovative handlebar, twice the space for infusion pumps, a central power strip, and a roomy basket to hold bedside essentials like tissues or alcohol swabs.
