Tad Toulis | Consultant
Tad Toulis is a creative consultant with over 15 years of experience in consulting and corporate practice. Toulis was creative director of Teague’s Seattle-based Design Studio from 2007 to 2012 where he was responsible for restructuring the studio and re-positioning the design offering to better support the needs of clients. Before joining Teague, Toulis worked as a design manager at Samsung’s LA LAB, as lead industrial designer at Motorola’s Advanced Concepts Group and as an industrial designer for Lunar Design in San Francisco. His work has received awards from numerous organizations, including IDSA, ID magazine, CES, Good Design, Red Dot and iF.
In addition to his professional experience, Toulis is an active participant in the design scene. In 1999 he founded designRAW, a San Francisco-based design collective that grew out of his experience as a Fulbright Scholar to Italy in 1996. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer at universities, conferences and design symposiums and is a featured columnist for Core77. In 2011 he served as chair of the IDSA’s 2011 International Conference in New Orleans and presently sits on the advisory board of SVA's master’s in fine arts program in products of design.
