Registration is open for the IDSA South District Design Conference 2018: LISTEN + EMPOWER, set for March 23–24 at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
Designers are called upon to employ various kinds of listening every day. Empathetic listening leads to an understanding of feelings and emotions. Critical listening provides evaluation and analysis of strengths and weaknesses. Informational listening allows us to absorb and comprehend new information. Mastery of listening is a skill that takes practice and effort. At its best, listening empowers designers to create innovative user-centered solutions, which ultimately empowers end users to engage in remarkable experiences.
Join us at the stunning Hunt Library on the beautiful NC State campus. Meet nationally acclaimed speakers who are thought leaders in design—presenting their insight and experiences on the power of translating listening into great design. SDDC also will feature the eagerly anticipated annual Portfolio Review for Students, in addition to a new Young Professionals Career Clinic—both providing advising and networking opportunities with senior designers and managers.
