Adam Gazzaley, MD, PhD
Adam Gazzaley, MD, PhD is professor in neurology, physiology and psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, and the founding director of Neuroscape, a translational neuroscience center engaged in development and research to advance high tech as novel brain assessments and optimization tools.
Dr. Gazzaley is co-founder and chief science advisor of Akili Interactive Labs, a company developing therapeutic video games and co-founder and chief scientist of JAZZ Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in experiential technology to improve human performance. He’s also a scientific advisor for more than a dozen technology companies including Apple, GE, Magic Leap and Nielsen.
He has filed multiple patents, authored 100+ scientific articles and delivered more than 500 invited presentations around the world. Dr. Grazzley wrote and hosted the nationally-televised PBS special “The Distracted Mind with Dr. Adam Gazzaley,” and co-authored the MIT Press book, “The Distracted Mind: Ancient Brains in a High-Tech World.”
