IDSA NYC Chapter Hosts Pre #NEDDC16 Picnic

IDSA’s New York City Chapter is putting out the welcome mat to help kick off the Northeast District Design Conference. Chapter Chair Vijay Chakravarthy, IDSA, is inviting Chapter members and NEDDC registered attendees to attend a picnic sponsored by the Chapter. It will be held at 11am on Friday, April 29 by the big rock on the southeast corner of the Sheep Meadow in Central Park. Click here to see the location on a map. RSVP here.

“This is a great way for designers to meet ahead of the conference, and enjoy pizza and one of New York City’s most beautiful outdoor spots!” says Chakravarthy, senior designer, research and strategy at Michael Graves Architecture and Design.

Then, conference attendees can enjoy a brisk, half-hour walk to the High School of Art and Design to join NEDDC, which begins at 1pm with a welcome and an IDSA update from Conference Chair Jeremy Van Hill, IDSA. See the schedule; speakers and sessions—from Eastman Innovation Lab; Design Studio at Dassault Systemes; PepsiCo; Bresslergroup; Pensa; Targus; Michael Graves; Cadillac; Google; Yeh Ideology and more!

And don’t miss what else the Big Apple has to offer; it’s all close to the conference location. Check out this map created just for conference attendees. Post your picnic, conference and sightseeing pics on @IDSA #NEDDC16 on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin, and on @IDSAdesign on Instagram.
