IDSA played a role in Design Law 2016, held on Oct. 14 at George Washington University's School of Law to foster debate on cutting edge design-related topics. The event was attended by design patent attorneys, federal government representatives, corporate practitioners, product designers, professors, students and more.
Some of the results are in from the first annual, open-source Design Census to benefit designers with data and insight about the rapidly evolving profession. About 9,600 people in more than a dozen design and related fields took part in the online survey that was open for 18 days in December 2016. The collaborative resource will help designers understand the complex economic, social and cultural factors shaping design today.
