IDSA Patron Named One of the World's Most Ethical Companies

Eastman Ranks High in Integrity

Eastman Chemical Company, an IDSA Patron, has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as a 2015 World’s Most Ethical Company®  for its efforts to continually raise the bar on ethical leadership and corporate behavior.

Eastman says it has policies and initiatives in place that allow its team members to cultivate a culture of integrity and ethical standards. The company has an Office of Business Conduct that establishes the Code of Global Business Conduct. The Code outlines the laws, principles and guidelines all employees follow regarding honesty, integrity and responsible corporate behavior. Annual training on the Code of Global Business Conduct is required for all employees. Additionally, the confidential Business Conduct Helpline is available 24 hours.

“Being ethical not only makes good business sense, it’s the right thing to do,” according to David A. Golden, Eastman’s senior vice president who also serves as Eastman’s chief ethics and compliance officer. “It takes each and every one of us to ensure that Eastman’s business activities are consistently conducted both legally and ethically. Because of our unwavering commitment to these behaviors, we have developed a reputation for being a high-performance specialty chemical company that operates with fairness and integrity.”

Eastman Chemical is headquartered in Kingsport, TN and employs about 15,000 people around the world.

IDSA Patrons support the industrial design profession with a primary focus on outreach, thought-leadership and advocacy. Their support helps IDSA take the necessary steps to develop content that leads to creating programs, awareness and the promotion of industrial design. The Eastman Innovation Lab is sponsoring the IDSA DDC Portfolio Reviews. The District Design Conferences kick off March 26! And don’t forget that the Call for Papers for the 2015 IDSA/Eastman Education Symposium has been extended to March 20.
