Design Foundation Donation Boosts Young Designers

The Late Gerald Proctor, L/IDSA, Leaves $10,000

A lifetime member of IDSA who recently passed away is leaving a legacy for future generations of designers. The estate of Gerald “Jerry” Edward Proctor, L/IDSA, has donated $10,000 to IDSA’s scholarship fund. The money will be earmarked for the Design Foundation.

Proctor was from Pittsburgh. He was 81-years-old when he passed away on Jan. 14, 2015. Proctor was the organizer of IDSA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Read more here about his contributions to the field of industrial design.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to the Design Foundation or donate an item to the 2015 Design Foundation Auction, please contact Jerry Layne at jerryl@idsa.org.
