Mike Garten

Mike Garten, IDSA | BOLTgroup

Mike serves as Director of Project Management at BOLTgroup, a Product and Brand Innovation firm headquartered in Charlotte.

Mike began his career as an industrial designer at IBM. After designing award-winning products he moved into managing global product and software development programs. With more than 20 years of design and development experience in both corporate and consulting environments, Mike brings a combination of design sensitivity and project discipline to BOLTgroup's major accounts. He has given numerous presentations on product development and project management, and has been a guest lecturer at the Virginia Tech School of Architecture. 

Mike has a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from the Ohio State University and a Computer Science Certification from UNC-Charlotte.  He has served on the IDSA Board as Southern District VP.
