Vice Chair, IDSA Atlanta Chapter
Sarah Brand, IDSA, is an industrial designer for the Kids II baby toy team. Prior to Kids II, she designed for Newell Rubbermaid's Calphalon brand and worked as a freelance graphic designer for local businesses.
Brand graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial design from Georgia Tech, where she first became "quickly" involved with IDSA in her freshman year. She served as an officer in the IDSA Student Chapter each year for four years, culminating with the position of president her senior year. "Luke (Jordan, IDSA), our IDSA Atlanta chapter chair, was an IDSA officer with me at Georgia Tech, so we knew we'd make a good team for IDSA Atlanta," she says.
In fact, in the last few years, Brand has been an active member of IDSA Atlanta and the Atlanta design community, serving as vice chair of the chapter since 2015 while Jordan serves as chair. "IDSA is a great way to keep in touch with other designers and help foster design in your city," says Brand. "Whether it's an inspiring design panel or a portfolio review for local students, IDSA can help you stay engaged and connected to the ID community."
In her spare time, Brand enjoys hiking, kickboxing and sketching Pixar characters!
