Kelsey Rerko says she loves design because it gives her the chance to learn about so many different topics, through the pieces she designs. Rerko joined IDSA in November 2015 as a graphic designer, and jumped right into projects such as the DesignUpdate e-newsletters; DesignBytes emails; web, print and presentation graphics; and other member and conference communications.
Rerko was born and raised in Cleveland. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in graphic design and minored in communications at Cleveland State University. Rerko worked for several years as a marketing communications coordinator at Arrow International. She also served as a freelance graphic designer for a variety of startup businesses. Rerko belongs to AIGA, formerly known as the American Institute for Graphic Arts.
Her hobbies include creating crafts from Pinterest ideas and donning costumes at Japanese animation conventions, where she occasionally gives presentations to attendees. She’s even tried her hand at designing the costumes!
