Matthew Marzynski
Matthew Marzynski, IDSA | Fluke Corp.
Matthew Marzynski is the industrial design manager at Fluke Corp. where his team of nine designers, model makers and tool makers help create the award-winning industrial test tools for which the company is globally known. Before Fluke, Marzynski helped lead the medical design practice at Herbst LaZar Bell in Boston, where he was also responsible for numerous consumer products ranging from infant care to military equipment. Clients included Gillette, Motorola and Smith + Nephew. He began his career in New York City, developing and manufacturing a line of tabletop goods and designing iconic products for companies like OXO and Clinique.
Marzynski's work has received recognition from IDSA, most recently with an IDEA gold in 2008 and 2012. His designs have also earned Good Design and iF awards, along with recognition in industry trade press. He is an inventor on over a dozen patents.
Marzynski holds a bachelor's in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design. He strives to strengthen education of young designers through practicum by mentoring interns at Fluke and serving as a guest critic at ID programs around Seattle, where he lives with his wife, an architect, and children.
