Lou Lenzi
Lou Lenzi joined GE Healthcare as general manager for global design in February 2006 after an 18-year tenure at Thomson Consumer Electronics in Carmel, IN. He has design responsibility for GE Healthcare’s $15 billion medical equipment and biosciences businesses. Products include diagnostic imaging systems, clinical systems, interventional cardiology and surgery products, healthcare information systems, medical diagnostics, and life sciences.
His broad experience at Thomson included positions as vice president of global product management and engineering, vice president of advanced product development, head of new media products and services, and creator and leader of Inuit, a new business incubator within Thomson. Lou also served as vice president of design for Thomson, reporting to the Chairman and CEO. Prior to joining Thomson, Lou worked at IBM in New York holding various design and design management positions.
Lou is widely respected as an industry leader, having received awards from I.D. magazine, serving as IDSA IDEA Chair, profiled by Fortune magazine, and been asked to lecture on product design and innovation at Harvard Business School and MIT.
