Lauren Wenchel, IDSA | Mid-Atlantic Chair | Stanley Black & Decker

Lauren Wenchel is currently Senior Industrial Designer for DEWALT Industrial Tool Co. having joined Stanley Black & Decker in 2005. She holds multiple patents related to various DEWALT products. DEWALT is the world’s leading professional power tool brand aimed at the construction, industrial and woodworking industries.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts with a concentration in Industrial Design from Towson University. During this time she interned for Inna Alesina of Alesina Designs in the Spring of 2005.

In addition to mastering traditional Industrial Design skills, she’s acquired diverse expertise in web design, multimedia, and graphic design. Great examples of this are Lauren’s work to design two DEWALT NASCAR identities. Core to all of these strengths is Lauren’s strength in collaboration.

Beginning in 2010, she took on the role of Social Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of IDSA. Now Lauren currently is Chapter Chair for the 2012-2013 years.
