IDSA Releases the 2010 Compensation Study

Who earned what?

Are industrial designers paid more or less than other designers? Is that the same for consultants and corporate design staff? How do industrial designers get rewarded for good work?

This is IDSA's 14th edition of the Compensation Study. It's the first first survey release since 2006, and for this year we have changed the format and the scope. In order to better recognize the multi-disciplinary nature of today's design office, we have included salaries and information on all design and non design positions, not just industrial design.

The 2010 IDSA Compensation Study covered over 800 designers and support staff from across the country. This is most that has been included in previous studies. Information is presented in tables for national as well as IDSA district breakdowns. Full cash as well as salary only information is provided.
