Cadillac Sixteen: Bronze, Design Explorations

Charged with resurrecting the V-16 of the 1930s, Cadillac made extensive use of malleable aluminum, which allowed skilled craftsmen to create shapes and designs not possible with steel. The long, gull-wing hood and 24-inch wheels suggest movement, even when stationary, and the interior evokes the posh accommodations of the '30s with luxury and contemporary style.

• Features hand-stitched leather upholstered seats and hand-woven silk carpeting.
• The use of aluminum makes the vehicle up to 50 percent lighter than corresponding steel construction.
