Contact: Scott Underwood, IDEO, 650.289.3409 Credit: IDEO The Methods Deck is a design research tool making a large number of different methods accessible to all members of a design team, to explain how and why the methods are best used and to demonstrate how they have been applied to real design projects. Based upon observation of designers' needs, activities and contexts, the tool is designed to be used as both information and inspiration to human-centered design teams and individuals as various stages within both the planning and execution of programs. Deck is made of 51 cards, representing the idea that the collection is incomplete. The four suits are: learn, watch, ask and try. Describes and illustrates the method IDEO uses to design products. |
