The IBM Intelligent Bricks is a data management system (hardware and software) that manages itself. Data is moved in-and-out of self-contained, intelligent storage elements. Each element contains multiple drives for the storage of data by intelligence (microprocessor) and communication between bricks. This product fits any group-governments, banks, corporations, etc.-that demands their data continuously and don't have time for hardware down time. By leaving failed components in place, self-management can cut down on personnel costs.
