Contact: Charis Ng, 617.576.9668; charisng@email.com Designers: Charis Ng, IDSA, Rhode Island School of Design Lugging a cold IV pole around the hospital is one of the most uncomfortable and humiliating experiences a patient must endure, yet endure they must until a cheaper alternative to gravity is found to dispense medication. This design replaces the pole with a backpack that also converts to a stroller and is equipped with a peristaltic pump that would weigh less than 5 lbs. The overall cost is less than that of the pole and conventional pump. |
