HE75 Presentation

The following video was taken of the final 2010 session in a series of regional reviews sponsored by the IDSA Medical Section and hosted by regional IDSA Chapters and firms. The review introduced the newly published medical device design standard for Human Factors by AAMI. The review is presented by Steve Wilcox and Michael Wiklund, both contributing authors and members of the AAMI Human Factors committee that developed the standard. The presentation reviews the standard's background, related standards, intended purpose and contents. Finally, the floor was opened to Q and A. The Q and A from all the reviews was captured in order to compile a FAQ data base which is published in the Medical Section of the IDSA website.
