Gabe Puerto

Gabe Puerto, IDSA | Co-Chair

Gabe is currently an Industrial Design intern at Philips design in Pittsburgh, PA working on various patient interface projects, as well as supporting all areas of the Home Healthcare segment. Before joining Philips, Gabe was a contract toy designer at Little Tikes, a world renowned toy company located in Hudson OH. Gabe has also interned at Radio Flyer Inc, in Chicago, Il. From his experience thus far, Gabe has gained insightful and critical knowledge of design processes, manufacturing techniques, experience designing unique and insightful products, a wide range of design tools, and the ability to work with a diverse team of designers producing product solutions in tight deadlines and timeframes.
 
Gabe Puerto studied at The Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, were he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design. While at CIA, Gabe was awarded a Portfolio Scholarship award, Honorary Scholarship award, Excellence in Industrial Design/Automotive Design Award, and the Viktor Schreckengost Award for Excellence in Industrial Design.

Gabe has also been featured in, helped organized and co-curate various design and fine art exhibitions, including Reclaimed, Student Independent Exhibitions 62 & 65, Make*, and CIA Bachelor of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition 2011.
