Ecodesign Section Weblink Resource Project {2011}
Dear IDSA Members and Guests,
This past Fall, IDSA Ecodesign Section Vice Chair Philip White organized a mass-effort with volunteer ID schools to compile and organize active website links in order to create a resource database surrounding the topic of Ecodesign and Sustainability. The Ecodesign Section’s Weblink Resource Project, 2011 is an actively updated listing of resources for members to educate, inform and enable themselves to make the decisions that create products that foster and develop environmentally responsible design and business practices. We have many volunteers to thank for their hard work in searching and editing our list. We welcome submissions and suggestions you have - particularly for our professional development listing. We hope this project will provide you with the resources and tools to enable your work and look forward to any contributions you have.
Sincerely yours,
Kerstin Strom, IDSA Ecodesign Section Chair

Ecodesign , ecological design, green design and design for sustainability are quickly evolving topics. Therefore we collected useful sites on ecodesign topics for practicing designers. The organizers of the site selection process consider that these sites are credible places for designers to begin in finding practical ecodesign information.
The IDSA Ecodesign Section does not “endorse” or claim all claims made in these sites are accurate. As with any information source, designers, their employers and clients should use information found in these sites with critical caution.
