Entrepreneurial designers or designer entrepreneurs?

There is a great program that started at Northwestern University to apply the creative research-and-development skills of designers to realistic entrepreneurial projects in the healthcare, education, and environmental sectors.

Read what Reena Jana has to say about it and watch the video. It is clear that this combination of skills is exactly what we are looking to develop and the idea of trying it from both sides with both design and business students is an interesting and compelling idea. Clearly you will land up with two very different thinkers and the outcome of this activity is well worth following to see where it leads us.

To answer the question posed in the title? Whichever one solves the most social problems gets our vote. Let the experiment begin.
