Young Professionals Interest Section

The Young Professionals section exists to provide the young professionals of IDSA with information, resources, collaborative opportunities and enrichment programs to engage and support their interests. The goal is to provide specific opportunities and activities based on the direct goals and desires of Industrial Designers that are in the formative years of their career.  

What we’re up to.

We are currently working to develop two sessions for the 2008 IDSA National Conference - one in collaboration with the Design Research and Ecodesign professional interest sections, and one with the SAGE section.  More information on these coming soon.

The other initiative we are currently taking aims at connecting Young Professionals with their alma mater via student chapters in the development of an ongoing mentorship program. If you are an IDSA professional or student member and are interested in helping with the development of this, please give me a shout as soon as possible.

More projects are in the works, and we want to know what ideas you have for the Young Professionals section and IDSA.  Please let us know your thoughts and concerns as we move forward.
