The partnership between IDSA and Objeto Brasil is a success. Two years ago the IDEA/Brasil recognized the talent of professionals and companies who use design as a competitive differential in the market. The award follows the same lines of the international and had punctual modifications to reflect the reality of the Brazilian design, for instance, it has 18 categories after the creation of the category jewelry to highlight an area of excellence and frankly internationalized of our design; and special nominations for Small Companies, Students, Sustainability among other areas. Important brands, micro entrepreneurs, designers and students won trophies in the two editions promoted in 2008 and 2009. From utilities to airplanes, from packaging to furniture, 156 products and projects were selected. Moreover, in these two years, 18 cases have won an IDEA, including two Golds. The results demonstrated the importance of the work of Objeto Brasil, an association dedicated exclusively to promoting design, which brings together representatives of all productive sectors (designers, industry, academy, media and government organizations). Member of ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design), the organization, founded in 1996, became a reference in Brazil and abroad by stimulating the mobilization for the development of Brazilian design, promoting its technical, aesthetical and technological expertise in order to add value to products, helping to increase the competitiveness of Brazilian industry in the global market. Joice Joppert Leal, Objeto Brasil's founder and CEO, who has worked for more than three decades in the segment promotion, bets in Brazilian design's creative capability to overcome challenges and enchant as an important factor to compete in the global market. "We have maturity and experience to gain new customers and markets."
