What’s the next iPad? 下一个类似IPAD一样的东西是什么？

在10月14日晚为戴尔俩设计师来访举办的设计聚会上，摩托罗拉中国公司设计师MAX TSU就戴尔公司产品设计创新问题，提出了一系列问题，并就几大公司之间竞争问题请TIM DEARBORN先生作答。

他说，“我们都错过了IPAD这样的产品，戴尔的产品创新设计部门一直很努力，配合公司满足各种不同市场的需求，但下一个类似IPAD的东西是什么，现在没人知道。”

戴尔的另一位设计师王强，为大家做了美国工业设计师协会的介绍，美国工业设计师协会的IDEA奖和INNOVATION杂志深受国际设计业界喜爱，有关参加IDEA奖和订阅INNOVATION的问题，会与大家会后保持沟通。

来参加聚会的既有设计所里的设计师主管，也有汉王、京东方等这样企业里的设计师；既有产品设计师，也有品牌设计人才。相比较与会议开始后对戴尔产品设计和美国工业设计师协会的介绍，大家更喜欢会前交换名片，彼此认识、闲聊。这是大家互通设计界信息，结交设计界新朋友的好机会。都希望这样的聚会以后多组织。

On Oct. 14, 2010 designers met in Beijing. Max Tsu from Motorola, Beijing asked Tim Dearborn from Dell, Taiwan about the kind of products that Dell is currently designing, and if there's anything that could compete with the iPad. Tim replied, we all missed such chances that the iPad has met; Dell’s design team has always been doing its best to collaborate with other departments within the company to deliver the best. As to what is the next iPad, no one knows.

Mr. Wang Qiang from Dell, Taiwan made a presentation on IDSA, it's IDEA award, and Innovation quarterly magazine, calling for designers at the event to gather and meet with their interest in all areas of designs.

Of the 12 designers at the gathering, some work for enterprises like Hanwang and Boe, others are from famous design firms in Beijing including LKK, Zhengbang, Dongdao, and idea-design.

Before the Dell and IDSA presentations, attendees exchanged name cards and chatted about new happenings in the design circle of China. It was a chance to exchange information and make new friends.
